Spread over 25 hectares of rolling, volcanic farmland, forest and bush, Kiwi North boasts picturesque views that overlook the city of Whangarei and the Whangarei Heads. The site features a museum, a nocturnal kiwi house and Victorian heritage buildings. Guests can see a variety of permanent and temporary displays, such as natural history displays of Northland’s fauna, military collections, and photographic collections presenting Maori and settler life in Northland, Whangarei District and New Zealand from the early 1900s. Visitors can admire kiwi birds in their natural habitat. There is also a gift shop with a wide array of souvenirs. The venue is happy to host wedding ceremonies and photography holds family-orientated Event Days several times a year.
