The Experience
Groupies begin their Vietnamese adventure in Hanoi where they spend a night in the Dragon Pearl Hotel. The next morning the tour whisks them away to the dramatic scenery and sparkling waters of world-renowned Halong Bay. Here they embark on an overnight cruise to explore the Bay’s hidden areas, dive into crystal clear sea, relax on Soi Sim beach, or hike up to the island’s summit to snap up panoramic views. While on board the cruise, travellers are treated to a cooking demonstration followed by traditional Vietnamese lunch.
Once back on dry land, the tour returns to Hanoi for further exploration. A guided tour through Sapa uncovers paddy fields and waterfalls, before taking a break for lunch at a local restaurant. That same day, see how the locals live in Lao Chai Ta Van and Giang Ta Chai while admiring the area’s natural scenery. Day Five journeys to Cat Cat Village - an area originally colonised by the French that once served as a resort town to visiting officials in the early twentieth century. An abundance of local wares are available here, as traditional crafts include weaving, silver carving, and hand-forged agricultural tools. After picking up a few souvenirs, the tour returns to Hanoi where the final day is spent at your leisure. Check out the full itinerary here.
