Moored at the historic Lapwood Landing, the houseboat “Discovery 1” offers an ideal starting point to explore the Waikato River (New Zealand’s longest river). During the trip, customers will discover secluded National Reserves, secluded backwaters in the river delta, fishing spots and pristine sandbars. Guests can roam past Native bush, historic Battle sites, and enjoy breathtaking wetlands with considerable birdlife.
