Holidaymakers are invited to discover India’s Himalayas on a motorbike. The motorbike safari experience includes crossing over high mountain passes, seeing spectacular views of snow-capped peaks, rugged terrain and travelling through one of the most picturesque landscapes in the world.
Day 1 - Arrival in Delhi Arrival in Delhi and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi (Hotel Crest Inn)
Day 2 - Delhi – Manali In the morning, after breakfast, proceed to Old Delhi and experience rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk, explore the narrow alleys, colourful markets and local shoppers. Visit the nearby ‘‘Jama mosque,’’ which is one of the largest ancient mosque complexes in Asia. Then drive past Red Fort built in the year 1648 by Shah Jehan. Visit Raj Ghat, the memorial to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.
Customers will be taken to New Delhi which includes Humayun’s Tomb, memorial of Mughal Emperor Humayun, built in the year 1562. Further, we drive past India Gate, the memorial built in the year 1931 to commemorate the Indian soldiers who died in the World War I and the Afghan Wars. President’s House, the official residence of the President of India, built in the year 1931, Qutub Minar.
In the evening, transfer to Valvo Bus Station to board Bus for Manali. Overnight on board.
Day 3 - Arrival in Manali Arrive at Manali Bus station and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, customers will join the bike session where they will be briefed by the road captain about road safety, high altitude concern and after that motorbike handover to visitors. They will be free to test their motorbike and have a short ride to get to know the motorbike which will going to be with holidaymakers for the next 10 days. Overnight stay at Hotel Satkar Residency.
Day 4 - Manali – Rohtang Pass – Jispa (138 km – 5 hours) Travellers wake up early in the morning to ride on one of the world’s highest road - the Manali-Leh highway. As soon as they leave Manali, the climb for the 13,051 feet high Rohtang Pass starts. After Rohtang, the road descends into the Chandra valley, passing through Khoksar and on to Tandi and Jispa. Overnight stay is at a Tent Jispa (Jispa Journey Camp or Ibex)
Day 5 - Jispa - Baralacha Pass - Sarchu (85 km – 3 hours) Today guests will ride from the lush green landscape to the stark moonscape which Ladakh is famous for. A very scenic ride passing through small lakes, waterfalls and streams. They will also cross the second high altitude pass - Baralach La - at 16,500 feet. Overnight stay today is in tents with attached toilets at Sarchu (Tented Camp)
Day 6 - Sarchu - La chunga La - Tanglang La Pass - Leh (250 km – 7 hours) Undoubtedly the best stretch on the Manali-Leh highway, this section of the Manali-Leh highway will feel as if customers were on a roller coaster ride climbing up and down from one Himalayan pass to another. You ride up and down three high altitude passes, Lachlung La (16,616 feet), Nakee La (15,547 feet) and Taglang la (17,480 feet), the second highest motorable pass in the world. Visitors will finish the ride in the ancient city of Leh (Snow Lion or Himalayan Heritage)
Day 7 - Leh - Khardung La pass - Nubra Valley (160 km – 6 hours) Today after breakfast get ready for one of the most exciting journey. Holidaymakers will be crossing world highest motorable pass Kh ardungla – 18,480 feet. Photography, great memories and decent to Nubra valley. Nubra valley is considered as the coldest desert. On arrival check-in at the tent with attach toilet. Overnight stay at Tented Camp.
Day 8 - Nubra - Khardung La - Leh (160 km – 6 hours) Enjoy the next morning ride back to Leh following the same route. Optionally - customers can stop their bike and enjoy the camel ride at sand dunes of Nubra valley on direct payment basis. On arrival check-in at Leh Hotel (Snow Lion or Himalayan Heritage)
Day 9 - Leh – Pangong - Leh (135 km – 4 hours) Today you are giving rest to your bike and joining a tempo traveller (big size car) for Pangong lake excursion. You are passing through the third highest motorable pass in the world, the Chang La pass at 17,586 feet. After the descent from Chang La, the magical plains of Changthang open up. But the real treat is the 135 km long Pangong Tso lake. Evening drive back to Leh (Snow Lion or Himalayan Heritage)
Day 10 - Leh - Tanglang La - Sarchu (250 Kms – 7 Hrs) Enjoy bike ride experiences today through Leh/ Tanglang La/ Sarchu (253km 9hours) following the same route. Overnight stay at the same tent in Sarchu.
Day 11 - Sarchu - Manali (233 km – 7 hours) Enjoy bike ride experiences today Sarchu/ Manali (222km 9hours). It will be a long ride and guests will start this day quite early. Reaching Manali, motorbike handover and check-in at the hotel. Evening certificate distribution for successfully completing this journey. Overnight stay at Hotel Satkar Residency
Day 12 - Manali - Delhi (510 Kms – overnight) In the morning, after breakfast day is free to relax. Evening transfer to Manali Bus Station to board on Volvo for Delhi. Overnight on board.
Day 13 – Delhi Arrive in Delhi at around 8am or 9am depending on the traffic condition. On arrival welcome back and transfer to Delhi international airport to board the flight for onward destination.
