Enjoy a morning coffee and a sugary treat to get your day started right. Scorchorama Cafe has tons of great movie posters, comic book covers, lego and other cool art work around the walls. Cast members from local major productions such as The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies made this a regular spot to hang out during their time in Wellington

Weta Workshop are the creators of physical props, prosthetics and costumes, as well as digital design and special effects for many major films, and the cave is their chance to showcase their skills to the public. We'll join the Weta Cave Workshop tour, and view their behind the scenes documentary, which can only be seen here at Weta. It's also a great chance to get some unique souvenirs or memoribilia

This beautiful Art Deco styled movie theatre, and their Coco at the Roxy restaurant and bar, was built by some of the leaders of the local film industry and has hosted some epic events. We'll stop here for a delicious lunch.

Parrotdog are famous in New Zealand for two hugely successful equity crowdfunding campaigns. They raised enough funds to build a brand new brewery, cellar door and bar, and they're making some delicious beers.

On our way back through town we can stop on Mount Victoria for some incredible 360 degree views of Wellington City and the Harbour. The drive back through town passes through neighbourhoods reminiscent of San Francisco.

Aro Valley, to the south of the city centre is home to some great little businesses. In keeping with our theme, the two big stops we make here are at the Aro Street Video Store, a true survivor and throwback to the glory days of home video rental. It's more like a living museum and we discuss the many ingenious methods they've used to stay open and stay relevant in the digital age.
Right across the street is Garage Project Brewery, one of the most successful and prolific producers of beer in New Zealand. Housed in an old mechanic's workshop, Garage Project's exterior is covered in amazing spray painted artwork that is matched by their many creative labels inside.

Stop At: Cuba Street, Wellington 6001 New Zealand
Parking on Cuba Street, we wind up our day with a walk into the city centre. Starting at the top of Cuba, we visit Heyday Brewery for a tasting, before wandering down through record stores, galleries, tattoo parlours, cafes and vintage stores. We end up at Golding's Free Dive, for a final pint before we either drop you back at your starting point or say goodbye as you carry on your adventure in the city.
