Here you will be treated to guided tour around this amazing geothermal landscape where history, culture and nature collide. Your offical Maori guide will share stories passed down through generations. Learn how the Maori people have tamed and utilised this unforgiving landscape in their everyday life's. You'll also gain an insight into features of the Maori carvings, which have deep cultural significance. Watch the master craft men at work, you can see this prestigious art form being handed down from master carvers to young trainees in front of your eyes. You'll also be able to observe the legendary Pohutu Geyser. This is the largest geyser in the Southern Hemisphere, which can erupt to a height of 100 feet or 30 metres, this is one of three geysers in this geothermal valley.
